COBALUS: COBALUS STAAT VOOR EEN SINDS 2008 GEPENSIONEERDE LERAAR 'PLASTISCHE OPVOEDING' EN 'ESTHETICA', DIE DE VOORBIJE DECENNIA FYSIEK EN MENTAAL ZWARE TIJDEN DOORWORSTELD HEEFT, EN NOG. IN SEPTEMBER 2008 BEGON HIJ IN 'HEUSDEN-ZOLDER' AAN DE 'ACADEMIE VOOR BEELDENDE KUNSTEN' DE AFDELING 'SCHILDEREN' TE VOLGEN. PLAATS VAN HET GEBEUREN IS EEN LOCATIE UIT DE DUIZEND : 'KASTEEL MEYLANDT'. 'Cobalus' stands for an ex-teacher of 'visual arts' in grammar school, who's retired since 2008. The last 15 years he had to deal with physical and mental ailments, caused by several cancers and Crohn's disease, several surgical operations, and last but not least the abrupt ending of his career, rather too early. On September 1st 2008 he started 'painting' at the academy of fine arts, which is located in a wonderful and inspiring neighborhood : 'Castle Meylandt'. Ever since he started painting, it looks like a new chapter in his life has begun. He can't find the right superlatives to explain how he enjoys this all ... and quietly he hopes to get many more years of the 'joy of living'.
